From my own lived experience as a highly-sensitive queer woman, my aspiration for becoming a therapist was clear to me from an early age as I became increasingly aware of the connections between identity and mental health. My own personal experiences with affirming therapists served to solidify my interest as I gained firsthand insight into the healing potential of a compassionate, nonjudgmental connection.
My experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor stems from a multitude of settings, from supporting survivors of sexual trauma as a crisis hotline counselor to providing therapy to folks in the process of seeking asylum in the United States at an LGBTQ+ community center and working as a therapist in private practice, centering accessible and intersectional therapy for folks with a variety of diverse identities.
I believe that people are so much more than symptoms or diagnoses; each and every one of us contains a capacity for deep healing and reconnection to our core selves. I enjoy working with clients who are open and willing to discover where this journey may take them. Once we have completed the initial intake process together, I offer clients an unstructured, open space that empowers folks to show up for themselves week by week.
